Week 11 Year 3 Sahara Class Assembly

Our class assembly is based on our topic: Footprints in the past [ Dinosaurs ]

This has proved to be a popular topic with Year 3 children and an exciting choice to present as an assembly for Year 3 Sahara class.

The children each researched and learnt about one major discovery that “rocked the scientific world”.

The facts were then worked into scenes;

1 The News Desk [ Keira and Raphael ] and the top stories being dinosaur related ones. This part of the assembly including top reporters [ Alex and Noa ] , on site, interviewing experts [ Freddie and Barbara].

2 The Explorers out on site discussing their finds [ Freddie, Sonja, Adam, Olivia, JJ and Dora ].

3 The Palaeontologists discuss their work and tell us more about the finds back in the science lab [ Patrick, Nuno, Barbara, Danny, Rosa and Young].

4 The Final Newsround to finish off with, includes more recent stories about Dinosaurs which hit the headlines [ In 2012 ].

The children all agreed that their Dinosaur jokes had to fit into our assembly …......… somehow !
We end the assembly with a round of jokes and a final song.

The Class assembly script was ‘written’ by the children themselves.
